Dry, Wet and Geopolitics hiccups…

The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) was up 15 points standing at 1,555 thanks to the Capes; Geopolitics deteriorate dangerously… John Faraclas’ daily briefing:

Here we go again with all the Dry Indices either falling or with minimal positive changes; the Capes’ BCI though was up 61 points and now reads 2,061!

The Panamaxes’ BPI lost three points and now stands at 1,692…

The Supras’ BSI was down one point at 1,193 and the Handies’ BHSI clinched a point now reading 630 points.

So once again we see that the volatile Capes “rule” the day… As we have numerous times said: one size cannot dictate or formulate a market.-

The Wets with mixed results; the last published BDTI (Dirties) stood at 791 – that’s minus 14 points!! The BCTI (Cleans) gained nine points and now read 550 points.

The WTI as these lines are being written surpasses the US$ 75 and this is dangerous!

The Geopolitics pretty much the same… MIGRANTS though got worse and the fYroM referendum was a spectacular failure on all counts. We have given our warning last Friday… Sophistry though tries to make things black from white and that’s extremely dangerous… Let’s see how many more excuses we are going to hear! Expect a mess in the Balkans; this can happen any time coupled with the Serbian – Kosovo tensions and the ongoing uneasiness in the rest of the former Yugoslavia with the exception of Slovenia… Would have loved to have live those arrogant politicians and diplomats who continue to call a fast one to the Balkans public… and interview / interrogate them! The result is their fault… Those nations bullying other nations from all sides of the equation will one day after the coming developments in the Balkans and its avalanche – possible a war in the region will pay a hefty penalty…

The Syrian and Iraqi saga gets worse and Turkey threatens intervention in both counties. President Erdogan also threatens Greece in the Aegean as well as Cyprus in the Eastern Mediterranean… CAUTION as president Putin of Russia has his own plans for the entire region… CAUTION!

Turkey’s financial status is now in disarray… Expect turbulences …

Greece lives for the day after fYroM’s “inconclusive”  referendum; expect jeopardies there… Mind the Balkans… Expect many developments in Athens. The mini tempest over the weekend that made Greece look like the east coast of USA left a few millions of damages… Lucky Greeks…

Italy will either leave the Euro or get on with a tough budget for its people…

Here come the Catalans demanding here and now the big split… Spaniards

BREXIT is about to shake Planet Ocean to its foundations and Europe will get the Britannias’ wrath… I will be happily singing the song: Good bye to Jane…

At the other side of the Atlantic USMCA saves the day for all; well done Mr. Trump! He said the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), which replaces NAFTA would bring thousands of jobs back to North America. Excellent. Await for the next move…

In the Far East it seems that things might ease in the Korean Peninsular… Clearing of mines is one step forward…

Japan counts its wounds following typhoon Trami’s passing by…

China is trying to respond to the USA’s challenges over the Tariffs… Early days and we foresee a perplexed deterioration …

That’s all for tonight; have a evening and be on guard from any eventuality emanating from Pirates, Terrorists and Criminals of any kind wherever you are on Planet Ocean!
