The International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) would like to welcome you to the IBIA Annual Convention 2018, on 6th-8th November 2018, at the Scandic Kødbyen hotel in Copenhagen.

With IMO 2020 on the horizon, this year’s event is perhaps one of the most important conventions IBIA has held!

IBIA ANNUAL CONVENTION 2018 PROGRAMME

IBIA has arranged a dynamic series of sessions around diverse topics, which will cover a broad spectrum of issues, with a specific emphasis on the future challenges facing the Bunker and Shipping Industry. At various times during the Convention there will be simultaneous sessions which offers delegates more variety and the opportunity to customise their Convention experience by choosing the topics of most interest to them.

IBIA BUNKER TRAINING COURSE

The International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) will host its Industry-leading training course with the renowned experts in the bunkering industry Nigel Draffin (Author of 12 books on Bunkering), Trevor Harrison (Maritime Arbitrator and Mediator), Charlotte Røjgaard (Global Technical Manager, Bureau Veritas), Patrick Holloway (Partner, Webber Wentzel).

The course will consist of a morning and an afternoon session. The first session will consist of a “refresher” to cover the current market, procedures and regulations, a review of contractual relationships and sales terms and a review of operational issues (measurement, sampling, delivery scheduling etc.).
The second session will examine the planning and implementation for the 2020 regulations, examining bunker claims and a session on fraud and ethics. Both sessions will be supported by practical exercises.

IBIA ‘ETHICS’ WORKSHOP

In addition to our two-day IBIA Convention, delegates have the opportunity to join our ‘Ethics’ Workshop

IBIA’s Ethics Workshop – Tuesday, 6th November 13:30 – 16:00 focuses on how you can enhance the ethical culture of your company, and our industry.
The Workshop features case studies to work through with small groups of your fellow participants. It gives action steps for you and those you lead and work with
We’ll focus on how you can implement IBIA’s new Code of Ethics at your company, and encourage others in our industry to embrace IBIA’s Code of Ethics, too.
The Workshop also presents a unique time to interact with other IBIA members, get to know them better with frank discussions, and exchange ideas about best practices.When: Tuesday 6th November 2018 – 14:00 – 17:00
