The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) ended up four points earlier on today but also left too many questions… Geopolitics now prove and confirm our worries. John Faraclas’ brief recap:
The Capes’ BCI lost 14 points and now stands at 714 points; many thought that last Friday’s fall off of just two point could “trigger” a sort of “recovery”…
The Panamaxes’ BPI stuck with only four points plus – 628 and let’s hope no more hiccups…
A repeat of last Friday’s gained points for the Supras’ BSI; again 34 points plus and now reads 594!
The Handies’ BHSI clinched seven points; now reading 322 points.
Mixed feelings once again with the Wets; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 818 – plus 12 and 609 – minus four points respectively…
The WTI stood at US$ 55.59 which is .47 cents below last Friday’s final closing at US$ 56.06! Still dangerous pricing.
