The Crescent River Port Pilots have increased their maximum recommended freshwater draft to 43 feet.

Lock chamber closure for maintenance

The Kiel Canal Authority has advised that due to importance maintenance works, one big lock chamber at Kiel-Holtenau will be taken out of service from 23 April to 14 June, and again from 5 August to 27 September.
Depending on traffic, delays may be possible during these periods.
