The navigation channel buoy “3” at Aberdeen South Typhoon Shelter has been relocated about 60 metres southward to a new position (WGS 84 Datum) at:
22 deg. 14.470’N / 114 deg. 09.719’E

Strong currents in ship channel

Due to heavy rains, strong currents can be expected on the Upper Houston Ship Channel and connecting waterways.
Vessel Traffic Service Houston-Galveston has established the I-10 Bridge on the San Jacinto River as a temporary VTS reporting point.
Contact Houston Traffic on Ch 05A prior to commencing transits under the I-10 Bridge.
