More gains for the BDI despite perplexed Geopolitics
The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) gained 23 points and now stands at 1,340; Geopolitcs more than perplexed and let’s see what happens in G20 Osaka meeting. John Faraclas’ daily recap:
The Capes’ BCI was up 25 points at 2,465 points…
The Panamaxes’ surge was a good one, 52 points and now the BPI reads 1,243 points…
For a third consecutive day the Supras gained nine points and now the BSI stands at 787 points; let’s see if this nine points “surge” continues…
Finally the Handies were up one point to have the BHSI at 443…
Falling, even minimal Wets; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 678 – minus one and 543 – minus seven points respectively… CAUTION!
The WTI was up five cents to US$ 59.43… Still dangerous levels for the poor masses comprising, at least, the 95 centum of Planet Ocean’s population. Ultra CAUTION should be observed…
The Geopolitics are already derailed o better say the ship has hit the rocks…
The MIGRANTS still the number one issue; no excuses from the politicians, diplomats and their cronies can be accepted. Not even an iota!!! Shame!
The G20 enfolds in Osaka and Planet Ocean’s leaders have a lot to tackle and “fight” for….
The USA and China being engaged in a Trade War which brings in more “players”. This will lead to the Cold War of Trade with many participants… As the debt on Planet Ocean stands at US$ 250 (twohundredandfifty) trillion – we clearly stipulate the figure to avoid any misunderstanding, wonder what all those economists and financial consultants have to say… Any remedies? What are they doing with all their accolades? Shame!!
Obviously it will be the Geopolitical issues and differences that are going to be discussed and the environment – which is expected to face many delays as the main powers pull others for delays proving the hypocrisy that governs their actions! Another SHAME!!!
The Iranian issue will be taking the time of many leaders as if hostilities broke, same will affect over two billion people… The Russians take the Iranian side and no wonder! The Chinese and the Japanese need Persian crude oil – as others of course… American sanctions against Iran are going to be very touch whether they target its supreme leader or not. Sanctions are sanctions like Dura Lex, Sed Lex! Turkey will try to mend its position with the USA, but… It’s time all 19 of the G20 members condemn the Turkish bullying of all nations around Turkey, mainly Cyprus, Greece, Iraq and Syria. Caution as with the Turkish Sate being bankrupt there is a lot that its president can do to upset the entire region. The S-400 and F-35 can be in a way a catalyst to get rid of Turkish provocative actions against its neighbours, NATO and the European Union! Governments MUST choose between business and peace otherwise terrorism will continue to flourish!
Greece lives the fever of the forthcoming parliamentary election on Sunday the 7th of July. CAUTION!
Good to see Mrs. Theresa May there (at the G20) and for sure she will raise the issue with president Putin of Russia about the suspects of the Salisbury Novichok attack that must be brought to justice! The Russian president fully denies any Russian wrong doing; time will tell! She will do her best given he final (?) days a the United Kingdom’s Prime Minister! She should have stayed on. Time will tell who were the real culprits to make her step down!
The EU is searching for a leader and Mario Draghi might leave the ECB and take over the European Commission; a triumph and honour for the Italians…
India will raise the stakes too vis-à-vis the Sanctions and Tariffs issue with the USA..
Hold your breath to see how this G20 summit ends up; don’t hold though a big basket… Your expectations come far behind from what you think and the strategic interests even of your country rest with those of the super powers and the way they have divided and continue to divide Planet Ocean…

We have some worrying news from Panama; Ana Irene Delgado a recently elected Senator in Panama following the recent elections nearly two months ago, was violently assaulted a few hour ago 26 June and she’s now in the process of recovery. She says that Panama cannot continue with insecurity and as she said during her campaign that she will do all necessary to work against crime. She will be sending a statement soon after filling all complaints before the public ministry. CAUTION!
