Weak low pressure over central Georgia this afternoon will settle southwest into the northeastern Gulf of Mexico during the next 48 hours.
Conditions over the Gulf are expected to be favorable for this low to develop into a tropical storm in the Wed-Thu time frame. A west to west-northwest track is forecast from Wednesday through Saturday and on the forecast track this system would bring impacts to the majority of the northern Gulf of Mexico.
There remains some uncertainty regarding how far south the low will track before turning westward…
