The Shipowners’ Club: Gangway Guidance Booklet
The Club regularly deals with claims involving access to vessels. Given their size, the majority of vessels entered with the Club utilise gangways rather than accommodation ladders which tend to be constructed for larger vessels
To assist in mitigating such claims, the Club has produced a revised version of its practical booklet detailing correct gangway assembly, access when vessels are double banked and passenger gangway safety as well as several case studies of handled claims.
