Dirties …”save” the Markets, Geos still perplexed and LISW2019 makes waves!
The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) continued its fall – hope not a free fall, lost 35 points earlier on today and now stands at 2 ,331 points. Geopolitics with the Migrants, the Trade Wars, BREXIT and other perplexed issues continue to enhance uncertainty. John Faraclas’ daily recap:
The Capes’ BCI suffered a triple-digit fall; 114 points were wiped off and now stand at 4,612…
Contained losses for the Panamaxes’ BPI now down to 2,129 – minus 15 points…
The Supras’ lost eight points and now the BSI 1,305 points…
A reverse case with the Handies; the ace plus of the last thee days turned a red ace – down to 691!
The Wets with mixed so to speak feelings; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) Dirties saw the Dirties surviving with ten plus points – now at 706 which is over and above the 700 points threshold, but the Cleans lost one and now stand at 452.
The WTI was down 66 cents since yesterday (US$ 55.75) to US$ 55.09! Let’s hope same drops further to the much acceptable US$ 49,99….
