Works at Woodlands Waterfront Park Jetty
Tuesday, December 3, 2019, Singapore

From 1 December 2019 to 31 May 2020, works are being conducted at Woodlands Jetty.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.123 of 2019, the works are being carried out 24 hours daily – including Sundays and Public Holidays – within the working area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 1 deg. 27.365’N / 103 deg. 46.745’E
2) 1 deg. 27.322’N / 103 deg. 46.774’E
3) 1 deg. 27.241’N / 103 deg. 46.690’E
4) 1 deg. 27.174’N / 103 deg. 46.735’E
5) 1 deg. 27.148’N / 103 deg. 46.700’E
6) 1 deg. 27.248’N / 103 deg. 46.623’E

Repair works will be carried out on the Woodlands Waterfront Park Jetty.The repairs will involve concrete works. A safety boat will be in attendance at all times to warn and re-direct craft in the vicinity to keep clear of working area.

Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Sembawang Control on VHF Channel 21 for assistance, if required.

Typhoon over Burias Island

Based on latest update at 0800 hours local time today (3 December), Typhoon “Tisoy” has slightly weakened and is now over Burias Island.

At 4:00 hours today, the eye of the typhoon was located in the vicinity of San Pascual, Masbate (Burias Island) (13.0 deg. N, 123.1 deg. E) with maximum sustained winds of up to 155 km/h near the centre and gusts up to 235 km/h and moving west at 20 km/h. It is currently bringing violent winds and intense rainfall over Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, and Masbate, and is forecast to affect Southern Quezon, Romblon and Marinduque today.

New port tariff released
Tuesday, December 3, 2019, Ceyhan, Turkey

A new port tariff for Ceyhan and Dortyol Botas was released today (3 December).

The new tariff covers pilotage, towage, sheltering, mooring/unmooring, anchorage, garbage collection, ship/shore transport, loading master, motor launch, sanitary dues, light dues, harbour master dues, Chamber of Shipping fee and contribution to the Maritime Chamber.
