Angus Campbell to Chair SHIPPINGInsight 20/20 “A Vision for the Decade”

Campbell Returns to Fleet Optimization and Innovation Conference and Exhibition for Fourth Year as Chairman 

Greenwich, CT – January 30, 2020 – Angus Campbell, Director of Energy Projects for Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM), will return as Conference Chairman for SHIPPINGInsight 20/20 “A Vision for the Decade” Conference and Exhibition, to be held October 13-15 at the Greenwich Hyatt Regency in Greenwich, CT.  This will be Campbell’s fourth year as Conference Chairman.

Carleen Lyden Walker, SHIPPINGInsight’s Chief Evolution Officer, stated, “We are delighted and honored that Angus will be leading our event again this year.  His expertise and deep knowledge of the industry adds so much to the richness of the stimulating discussion, which is a hallmark of SHIPPINGInsight!”

Angus Campbell was appointed Director of Energy Projects in 2016 to support the achievement of Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement’s (BSM) business growth objectives in the energy sector, focusing on the development of commercially viable gas supply and energy infrastructure projects.  Previously, Campbell served as Managing Director of BSM United Kingdom, appointed in 2013, and bringing extensive experience with him to the role.  Campbell has been in the shipping industry for over 40 years, working at Denholm Ship Management, Seatrain and for 30 years in senior positions at Overseas Ship Holding Group.

SHIPPINGInsight 20/20 “A Vision for the Decade Conference and Exhibition will explore the many ways that the maritime industry will be impacted by this coming decade and include topics of discussion such as decarbonization, digitalization, data management and display, tools of transparency, cyber security, compliance technologies (ballast water, IMO2020, fuel quality, sensors, etc.), automation, communications/satellite technology, training, disruption, new technology, diversity and more.  In addition, SHIPPINGInsight will feature a shipowner’s roundtable luncheon, and the popular SHARK TANK!!, where start-ups and new technologies and services compete for the SHIPPINGInsight Innovation Award. There will also be a Tech Corridor for start-ups and new technologies to showcase their concepts.
