BDI falls further; Geopolitics in jeopardy and Coronavirus makes life difficult
The BDI lost 18 points since yesterday and now reads 1,568… Jeopardy is a mild word to describe messy Geopolitics… COVID’s mess is more than a mess…. John Faraclas’ brief recap:
Capes and Panamaxes fell; the BCI was down 28 points ta 2,347 and the BPI down 41 at 1,757 points respectively.
Supras and Handies continue their upwards mode; the BSI was up five points at 954 and the BHSI gained a dozen points and now reads 525…
Minor gains for the Wets; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 491 – up one and 412 – up five points respectively.
The WTI as these lines are being written stands at US$42.81 – up 28 cents since yesterday; CAUTION!
Geopolitically..:
MIGRANTS still the number one issue with at least 45- including five children dying off the coast of Libya when the engine of the boat carrying them exploded. There were 80 people on board. Local fishermen rescued them. It was the deadliest casualty so far this year. Over 300 (threehundred) have died so far this year in their effort to cross over from Libya to Europe. Time to end this inhumane mess; time for a Naval Blockade with a Mandate and Rules of Engagement wherever we have such situations – Aegean, Central and East Med!
The Turkish despicable actions in the Central and East Med region is heading / leading us all into War and a general conflagration in the entire region. Can German led EU in Brussels make Peace and halt Turkish appetite or as many suggest, Germany silently “encourages” Erdogan???? Meantime never ever forget that Nemesis always strikes… NATO too must act swiftly, collectively and responsibly…
Cyprus and Greece are being bullied by Turkey and its people and military might declare Enough is Enough. CAUTION !
Caution on Belarus… we don’t want and wish to see the train there derailed… Abuse of power is one thing, Democracy yet another…
Lebanon in a mess; another CAUTION there…

Let’s work collectively together and NOT opt for a fistful of Dollars to restart the already collapsed global economy… which is in red US$ 260 (twohundredandsixty) trillion…
