The BDI “climbs” back above 1,500 points amid continuous perplexed Geopolitics and uncertainty over Coronavirus

The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) managed – thanks to the Capes, to re-gain the 1,500 points threshold and now reads 1,518. It seems that World War III is on given Turkey’s despicable actions against all of its neighbors, backed by its well-known backers and religious Muslim brothers who keep a blind eye in all of Erdogan’s neo-Ottoman aspirations; those denying same need to be hospitalised in a sanatorium… Coronavirus uncertainty and spreading will soon create havoc all over Planet Ocean; John Faraclas’ daily recap:

The Capes’ BCI gained 86 points since yesterday and now stands at 2,293 points… All others indices fell except the Handies…

The Panamaxes BPI lost three points and now reads 1,629…

The Supras lost one point with the BSI now reading 964…

The Handies’ BHSI was up eight points at 562…

Basically and following many past advices, one size cannot dictate or constitute a market…

The Wets with mixed feelings and …a surprise; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 477 – minus three and 483 – plus 50 points!!! respectively…

The WTI as these lines are being written, stands at US$ 43.36, nearly one dollar plus/up since yesterday… That’s bad news and CAUTION should be exercised…

Geopolitics:

MIGRANTS maintain the number one position on all issues; people lose their lives as Turkish authorities keep a blind eye and we had another incident with 92 human lives west of the Greek Island of Chalki in the Dodecanese – just off Rhodes, were the Turkish Coast Guard is prohibiting a Greek missile boat, the Grigoropoulos and other passing by cargo / merchant ships – which turned up to rescue these 92 Migrants as their boat sunk… Shame.  Same incidents happen off the Libyan or Italian coast !!! All all over Planet Ocean MUST know of this incident, of this inhumane case and condemn Turkey. We are appealing to Secretary-General of the IMO Mr. Kitack Lim to raise to the circumstances and reprimand all of the Turkish IMO Coast Guard Delegation and order them to stop these inhumane acts. He must issue a communique; it is a MUST!

Turkey, directed by its patrons –  who have designs in rocking Peace and Stability, continues a despicable premeditated agenda coupled with blackmail against every single country not only bordering with, but also in its wider periphery – see Libya for example as well as stirring up the Balkans and pushing even Albania and others there in harming Greece! The EU and NATO is to blame for as well as Russia!!!!! Wake up before it is too late…

Greece and Cyprus, two European Union country members are being bullied whilst Germany, who also holds the presidency of the European Union, does really nothing – we can entertain any German leader – particularly Mrs. Merkel, live on any A1 TV station and her Foreign Secretary Mr. Heiko Maas, as both keep a blind eye, sawing pro Turkish support – as Germans do this for 250 (twohundredandandfifty) years. SHAME!

NATO too must take immediate action with a coherent staunch; Turkey has become a pariah state and president Erdogan’s inferiority complex over Kemal Ataturk – Turkish supreme leader and politician during last century and father of modern Turkey, is evident. He better see his economy and terrible human life record; somebody MUST explain him the Greek word Democracy, Economy and History reminding him and his fellow Turks their roots. We are saying this as Turks, Ottomans or otherwise are only 1,000 (onethousand) years in the Eastern Mediterranean basin as conquerors of other peoples lands, hence they don’t have any respect for any of its neighbors. Per the American say: “they are new kids in the block hence their behavior”.

Tomorrow the Greek Parliament will vote for the ratification of two EEZ Agreements, one with Italy and one with Egypt… Let’s  see what happens afterwards… Meantime any Greek Government must have top of the range negotiators in any meeting, direct or indirect, with Turkey as well as with the EU and NATO over Greece’s rights and EEZ. Using Greek shipbrokers will not only be an asset, but beyond that for a successful outcome and “avoid” “being” always under duress; you dead well know what I mean…

Europe still in a mess… in all fronts..

Belarus will be also a big issue…

BREXIT makes freak waves; CAUTION…

Election fever in the USA begins to take off… Everybody is watching this special race for the Oval Office amid numerous local and international tensions as well as USA’s economic war mainly with China…

As we said yesterday, Coronavirus’ uncertainty and wrong methods in tackling same will cost dearly to all!! Discipline and Responsibility will save the Day!!!!

Have a nice evening  but ensure you continue to remain on guard from actions emanating from Pirates, Terrorists, Criminals and any Business Hooligans whatsoever wherever you are on Planet Ocean.  Once again a big THANK YOU to all who really care for all humans – Doctors, Nurses, Seafarers, Dockers, Port Authorities et al during this Coronavirus disaster!! We repeat: Do please invest in Hospitals including Equipment, Doctors, Nurses and any useful means to avoid further disasters! Become more disciplined and care for the Environment too. Lastly: Education and Training for all to be able to tackle these disasters. Let’s work collectively together and NOT opt for a fistful of Dollars to restart the already collapsed global economy… which is in red US$ 260 (twohundredandsixty) trillion…
