One new case; Satellite readies for launch; Renowned pianist dies in MC;  plus two more..

Good Morning Monaco – Thursday, August 27, 2020

One more resident has tested positive for coronavirus, Monaco’s health authorities said on Wednesday, August 26.

After many postponements, the Principality’s first ever nanosatellite is scheduled to launch on September 1, marking a historic orbital first for a country with a surface area of only 2.08 km².

Josef Bulva, who died in Monaco on August 12, was an extraordinarily gifted pianist who achieved two astounding comebacks in his career, and who kept recording until recently.

Having suffered postponement as a result of the dreaded coronavirus pandemic, the Ever event is set to go ahead between September 10 and 12 at the Grimaldi Forum.

The French health ministry said on Wednesday evening that it had registered 5,429 new coronavirus infections over the previous 24 hours, representing a new post-lockdown high.
