Oslo Børs: One of the best ever years for admissions to listing and trading
2020 is already one of the best years for admissions to listing and trading since 2007. Today BEWi is admitted to trading.
So far this year 18 new companies have been listed, and we have already surpassed last year when 15 companies were admitted to listing or trading.
“We are likely to have one of our best ever years for admissions to listing and trading. When the pandemic first struck not many people were predicting the record level of activity we have seen in the primary market since April”, comments Øivind Amundsen, the President and CEO of Oslo Børs.
The companies admitted to listing or trading this year have so far raised an impressive NOK 9.4 billion in new equity through share issues.
“The stock exchange is the most important source of equity capital for Norwegian businesses. In recent months we have seen companies on the Oslo Børs marketplaces raise new capital like never before, despite the coronavirus crisis and the prevailing economic uncertainty”, continues Øivind Amundsen.
