At a time when seafarers need support more than ever, join us to discover the many ways that mentoring can improve and support life at sea while simultaneously helping mariners to grow professionally.

This webinar will be the launchpad for a Nautical Institute campaign on mentoring which is being spearheaded by NI Senior Vice-President, Captain André LeGoubin FNI, a long-standing advocate of the power of mentoring. The discussions will include…

• How to learn from experiences whether good or bad
• Why it is vital to build good relationships onboard
• The benefits to both mentor and mentee

Meet the panel, from left to right: Mónika Naranjo-Shepherd of design agency LUMA and producer of the NI’s mentoring films; David Patraiko FNI, Director of Projects at The Nautical Institute and Captain André LeGoubin FNI, Senior Vice-President of The Nautical Institute and author of the book Mentoring at Sea – The 10 Minute Challenge.

Throughout the coming weeks the NI will be releasing a series of short films that will shine a spotlight on the issues raised during the webinar, providing inspiration through personal accounts of how mentoring has made a positive impact on mariners’ lives.
