WOC Partners with 8th International Conference on Ocean Energy (ICOE 2021) to Advance Ocean Energy for the Blue Economy

The World Ocean Council (WOC) is proud to work with the 8th International Conference on Ocean Energy (28- 30 April, 2021) to bring together international stakeholders, experts and exhibitors from the ocean energy – tidal, wave, ocean currents, ocean thermal gradients.
The ICOE 2021 will showcase the progress in ocean energy technology research and development, prepare ocean renewable energy to benefit the larger “Blue Economy” and the electrical grid, and identify research needed to further advance the state of the technology. Discussions will also address device innovation, new market developments and regulatory frameworks to spur commercialization.
WOC CEO, Paul Holthus, was honoured to be invited to organize and chair the ICOE Plenary session on leveraging trends in ocean science and ocean development to advance marine renewable energy and Blue Economy opportunities.
The session keynote speaker, Bertrand Piccard (Solar Impulse) will be followed by a panel of key ocean industry, innovation and investment leaders:
