The BDI@2,881… Wets fall a major concern… Geopolitics: mess and Covid’s destruction beyond a Herculean task
The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) gained 12 points since last Friday 21 May 2021 and feels safe… The wets were down marginally but this continuous fall will cause tsunamis… More turbulences in Geopolitics… As the time goes b we are witnessing that we are still in uncharted waters vis-à-vis Coronavirus… John Faraclas’ brief daily recap:
The upward Dry trend might soon be halted despite the fact that most sizes were on a plus mode….
The Capes’ BCI was up 28 points and now reads 3,958 points…
Panamaxes fell another 15 points and now the BPI reads 2,840… CAUTION!
Both Supras and Handies clinched points; the BSI was up 20 points at 2m428 and the BHSI just three at 1,320…
Overall, still a buoyant Dry market; remember: whatever is above the 2,000 on the BDI, all is fine… but tomorrow is another day…
The Wets fall, although minimal, is a very big concern and liabilities might arise; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 613 – minus two and 532 – minus six points respectively… CAUTION!
The WTI was up US$ 2.47 since last Friday’s US$ 63.58 and now stands dangerously at US$ 66.05. Tough days ahead…
Geopoliticaly now:
Assessing the humane loss as well as the destruction in Gaza, but also to a lesser extend in Israel might teach yet both “winners” as …there are no “losers”… a good lesson. This 11 (eleven) days will be remembered as one of the most despicable ones… SHAME to both sides…
MIGRANTS still on top… one day many will regret for their short-sighted policy and deeds that already has despicable repercussions in jeopardising the social cohesion! It was, is and will continue to be pandemic maintained by those who use various humans for their own purposes… CAUTION as the going might get tough and things might go off hand…
The Ryanair plane diverted to land in Belarus might be the beginning of yet another cold war and a major friction with Europe and Russia’s satellites…
