The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) surpassed the 2,900 point threshold and soon might go over and above the 3,000-points one. Now, what a Wet liability..? A new World order and brace for a confrontation. Can Covid-19 be contained…? John Faraclas’ brief recap:
With 87 points plus at 2,944 the BDI makes waves!
The Capes hit another triple-digit surpassing the 3,400-3,500 points threshold and now the BCI reads 3,543 – up 197!
Well down also for the Panamaxes BPI now at 3,343 – up 41!
The Supras’ BSI went over and above the 2,600 points threshold and now reads 2,624 – up 32!
The Handies’ BHSI clinched two points and now stands at 1,363!
All in all a promising Dry Market but be vigilant too. Volatility is here to stay. Last week was a decisive one; let’s hope this one too!

The Wets g r o u n d e d! The last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 582 – plus one and 453 – minus two points respectively. Ultra CAUTION should be observed!
The WTI was up 32 cent since last Friday the 11th of June when it stood at US$ 70.91; at US$ 71.23… Wonder why there isn’t an intervention to halt this detrimental for the 7.7 billion fellow humans price… Let’s see who is accountable for this when the time of reckoning arrives… Watch this space!
In the Geopolitical front we had this unique USA kick-start with Europe and the free World, as we call it, headed by President Joe Biden is ready to saw zero tolerance to Russia and China as well as to anyone else who will attempt to disrupt the root of history. Indeed many things must change and I am sure they will. Following today’s NATO summit in Brussels, let’s see how Russia’s Putin reacts when he meets Joe Biden in Geneva and how the Chinese understand that this is a new America! NATO though M U S T short out completely the rift between Turkey and Greece and not just temporarily. This will be a good exercise and we insist Turkey remains under a tight surveillance.
