80 faces of exchange

2020 marks the 80th anniversary of the USA’s State Department’ s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), which has been attended by more than 225,000 delegates/participants from around the world. For the celebration of its 80th anniversary, the stories of 80 distinguished graduates, the experience they gained from participating in the program, and how same determined their subsequent actions in their own society were selected and presented. Among them is Danae Bezantakou, who received her award from the US Ambassador to Greece, Geoffrey Pyatt.
The # 80facesofexchange include personalities who have made their mark on political and social life, including former UK Prime Ministers Margaret Thatcher and Tony Blair as well as New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.
Following the festivities for the 80 years of the program, on Wednesday 11th August 2021 at 18.00 hrs Greek time, Danae Bezantakou will participate in an IVLP discussion from around the world on “Women in Leadership” where she will talk about her experience in the respective program, which was the initial trigger for the creation of IforU – Greek Mentoring Network and other activities. |
