London’s River Bus operator ramps up sustainability focus with new hire
18 October 2021 – London’s leading River Bus operator, Uber Boat by Thames Clippers (www.uberboatbythamesclippers.com), has created a new role within its business, and hired a health, safety, environment & quality (HSQE) manager. Gilmark D Mello joins the London transport operator with a focus on minimising the environmental impact of the business processes and incrementally reducing its carbon footprint through process improvements, environmentally sustainable products and decarbonisation.
Gilmark joins Uber Boat by Thames Clippers from Seaspan Corporation, bringing with him a strong background in the marine industry as a chief engineer and business process transformation consultant for the large shipping company that is the worldwide leader in independent containership management and ownership.
