On Wednesday, June 8 , the opening of the solo photo exhibition of Kitsa Angelakos Skinitis took place at the emblematic Municipal Theatre of Piraeus, with an impressive presence of representatives of politics and academia, businesspeople – mainly from the shipping sector with Oinoussians and Chians being the biggest group both from Greece as well as maritime personalities from London – and other art lovers.

The exhibition, organised in the framework of the international event Posidonia 2022, is under the auspices of the Ministry of Shipping and Insular Policy, Posidonia and the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus.
The artistic director of the theatre, Lefteris Giovanidis, addressed the event with his greeting, while Katerina Koskina, curator of the exhibition, spoke about the artistic work of photographer Kitsa Angelakos Skinitis.

The title of the exhibition Ships, Sea and Soul marks the emotional and artistic relationship that the photographer has with shipping in its entirety, as she emanates from the Greek isles of Oinousses, just off Chios in the eastern Aegean Sea.
Her exhibition will last until Sunday, June 26, 2022, at the Piraeus theatre.

Opening hours daily: 10:00 to 22:00.
A dedicated album with the artist’s photographic works is available at the exhibition.
As we follow Kitsa for years now, this is how she entered our arty hearts and soul …
