THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA (PRC): AN UPDATE ON COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS
COVID-19 pandemic related restrictions continue to challenge maritime operations around the globe. As a result of the PRC’s “zero” COVID-19 policy, relevant controls are still in effect, and have recently been tightened in places due to regional outbreaks. A summary of COVID-19 restrictions at key PRC ports is summarized in the attached table..
Members should also note that PRC authorities currently consider the following as “high risk”:
- seafarers arriving from India, Thailand, Myanmar, Bhutan, Laos, Mongolia, the Russian Federation, Cambodia, Nepal, Pakistan and Bangladesh; and
- vessels arriving from India, Thailand, Myanmar, the Russian Federation, Cambodia, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
