Development of taxonomies in Latin America: Colombia leading the way

Colombia is the first country in Latin America to launch its own green taxonomy. While largely based on the EU taxonomy, it also focuses on the land use sectors that account for 59% of Colombia’s greenhouse gas emissions. This roundtable explores the pillars of Colombia’s taxonomy and discusses whether it will become a model for others in the region. It also covers how to secure compatibility and interoperability with future Latin American taxonomies.
