Boxing clever – how to work better together in managing a container ship casualty
Introduction Drawing from the experience of various stakeholders in handling container ship casualties, we analyse the development of a typical incident and explore how improved communication can work to the benefit of all. The event will contain practical advice from an ex-container vessel master mariner, a representative from an industry-leading salvage company, one of the world’s largest insurance companies and insurer and a specialist shipping law firm.
Specific issues to be discussed: Initial responses – focussing on co-operation between the master, managers and salvors When the situation has stabilised – arranging for redelivery and collection of security Dealing with the aftermath – how to resolve the legal aspects most efficiently
Moderator Kevin Cooper – MFB
