Shipping is an exciting, yet a very demanding industry with some very high barriers that women had to break. On the occasion of IWD let us honour and celebrate those women that came before us, broke one barrier at a time and paved the path so that we can have a “voice” in the industry today.

Let us be grateful for the privileges we have, but not become complacent, for in some other parts of the world, women are still fighting for fundamental basic rights.

Let our achievements and breakthroughs arm them with the confidence needed to pave and walk their own path.

Let us use our “voice” to educate younger generations to become advocates of equality and equity among women and men alike.”
