SINGAPORE: SUBMARINE CABLE TRENCHING, ROCKSAW AND CABLE INSTALLATION ALONG EAST JOHOR STRAIT
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA Singapore) has recently released a notice regarding upcoming trenching, rocksaw and cable installation work to be performed along the East Johor Strait between February 26, 2024 and May 11, 2024. The relevant coordinates for the work to be performed are set forth in the MPA Singapore Port Marine Notice No. 07 of 2024.
Members are recommended to:
– keep well clear of the designated working area;
– maintain a proper lookout;
– proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
– maintain a listening watch on VHF channel 21 (Sembawang Control); and
– communicate with Sembawang Control on VHF channel 21 should assistance be required.
