Delegates may discuss common problems with peers from the global shipbuilding and marine industry and how they are being addressed. Massimo served at Fiat Group, where he held several leadership roles in Research, Innovation and Product Development and Strategy, until 2012.
He joined Fincantieri in June 2012, where he is currently VP of Research & Innovation at the Naval Business Unit. His main accountabilities are to define the R&D strategy of the Business Unit, plan and budget and to drive the Innovation Process.
He is Executive Chairman of the board of Cetena, the corporate research centre of Fincantieri and serves as Director in the board of several companies.
He held positions as adjunct professor of Innovation Management at Luiss Business School in Rome and in Materials Science and Engineering at Turin University and Polytechnic and gives lectures on innovation strategy and management on a regular basis.
Massimo holds an MSc in Physics from Genoa University, a Quality Management Master from Pisa University and attended several courses at MIT on Innovation Management and Product Strategy.
