Rockaway, New Jersey, July 9, 2024— Consolidated Chassis Management (CCM), one of the leading interoperable chassis pool managers in the United States, announces that Martin D. Summers has been promoted to Vice President, Corporate Maintenance & Procurement.
In his new role, Summers will manage CCM’s procurement, Consolidated Equipment Services (CES) and Corporate Maintenance initiatives.
With an extensive background spanning over four decades in transportation, trucking and rail, Mr. Summers has expertise in operations management, freight, ocean transportation, equipment maintenance, and maintenance and repair. His tenure at CCM includes pivotal roles such as General Manager of Pool Operations, General Manager of Maintenance, Director of Corporate Maintenance, culminating in his current elevated position.

To further support SACP 3.0’s growth, CCM has hired Daniel Walsh to serve as Sales Manager within the SACP 3.0 team. In his new role, Mr. Walsh will focus on building and maintaining relationships with key customers, in the South Atlantic region as well as ensuring customer satisfaction. Mr. Walsh brings extensive experience to the role in both intermodal sales and chassis fleet management.
Last year’s launch of SACP 3.0 marked a significant leap for the South Atlantic Chassis Pool, featuring a first-of-its-kind single provider utility model. This innovative approach seamlessly blends advanced chassis technologies, merging the strengths of traditional gray pool systems with proprietary models.
