Geopolitical issues live on Vergina TV just before the summer break

by admin

Vergina TV’s Christina Tsorba assisted by Theodora Apota questions John Faraclas on the Geopolitical issues affecting Greece just before the summer break:

– The Wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, the possible spill over in other adjacent countries given the duration and the animosity build-up…

– The issues affecting the yatching industry given the wars in the region and in particular the east Med situation

– The Olympic Games that begun in Paris with some issues with arsonists and other messy situations. The pollution issue deriving from the Olympic Games and the findings of Dr. Anne de Bortoli from the Montreal Polytechnic in Canada. The no mentioning of the pollution in the war zones of Ukraine and the Middle East.

– The situation in Greece’s tourism and the comparisons with other countries vis-a-vis quality tourism etc

– The high cost of airtickets and roroferries which prohibits many to come to Greece, but even for Greeks… is too expensive… The financial crisis is still still here…

– The improvement of safety on passenger/roro/ fast cats and monohull ships despite the fact that Greece has a very good safety record…

– The Shipbuilding and Shiprepair industry that must recover.

-On Agriculture and Greek Wines abroad…

– The Thessaloniki Port which must become more important than that Piraeus given the vast hinterland in the Balkans and beyond… assisted by the Ports of Kavala and Alexandroupolis and become the hub for the Balkans and beyond!

– What will Serbia do: opt for the European Union or Russia…

– The forthcoming US presidential election with Kamala Harris being supported by the Obamas… What might happen given the events following Mr. Trump’s loss of presidency last time…

– How CrowdStrike affected airlines and other means of daily life….

– The falling Dry Market with the BDI at 1834 points…
