Further to our brief coverage on both days – 20 and 21 June, the 2nd Chios International Shipping Summit, organised by the Department of Shipping, Trade & Transport of the University of the Aegean has successfully concluded.
Over two days, on June 20 and 21, in Chios and Oinousses, more than 350 participants and 46 prominent speakers from Greece and worldwide gathered to exchange views on the future of Greek and global shipping.
In a place where maritime tradition and business know-how meet research and academic knowledge, the Department once again brought Chios and Oinousses to the forefront of the international maritime dialogue.
Under the auspices of the MINISTRY OF MARITIME AFFAIRS & INSULAR POLICY and the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping, and with the valuable support of Chartworld Shipping Corporation, Hellenic Institute of Transportation Engineers, Friends of Oinousses Association and Oinoussai Benevolent Fund, the Summit became an open forum of knowledge, collaboration, and forward-looking solutions for the maritime industry.
We thank all our speakers, participants, as well as the students and administrative staff of the Department, who contributed to a dynamic and inspiring event.
