1st Conference of the Hellenic Tugowners Association

The 1st Conference of the Hellenic Shipowners’ Association of Tugs, Salvage, Antipollution and Offshore Support Vessels was completed with great success on 23 June 2025, at “Stone Warehouse”, Piraeus. The conference was under the auspices of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs & Insular Policy.

Tsavliris supported the event with a gold sponsorship.
The conference brought to the fore the importance of the salvage & towage industry for safety, environmental protection and support of the maritime economy.
Through four targeted panels — from tugboats and rescue vessels to anti-pollution and offshore activity — a substantive dialogue opened on the practical issues and strategic needs of the sector.

Messrs Tsavliris donated an icon of Saint Nicolas (protector of seamen) and awarded the Captain & crew of the S/T “Aigaion Pelagos” for their contribution to the successful salvage operation of tanker “SOUNION”, struck by Houthis in 2024, in the Red Sea.
