One Last Race Before the Storm
The final day of the 2025 Junior World Championship delivered high drama and even higher waves
. As wind and rain swept across the Øresund, Race Committees managed to run one final race before safety concerns forced an early end to the competition.

Resilience Onshore, Determination On Water
While the weather turned wild, the energy on land never dipped. The sailing community celebrated not just the winners, but every athlete who showed courage, skill, and heart.

“We still love sailing, but it is hard mentally—you have to be prepared all the time to go on the water. But it’s part of the game.”

Traditions, Triumphs, and Team Spirit
The rain didn’t dampen the celebrations:
Champagne Showers: Denmark’s Rebekka & Gustav were welcomed ashore with bubbly and cheers.
Harbour Toss: Germany’s Kjell & Iven were tossed into the sea—continuing a time-honored team tradition.
U21 Recognition: Top Under-21 teams from
Germany and
Switzerland were honored for standout performances.
