1. Under the coordination of the Hellenic Coast Guard, a rescue operation is underway from the beaches of “Limnia” and “Agia Markella” in Chios, due to a fire in Volissos. 7 Coast Guard vessels (5 Coast Guard Patrol Boats, 1 Coast Guard Lifeguard, 1 Coast Guard Patrol Boat) and private vessels are participating. So far, 40 people have been rescued from private vessels and 23 people from a Coast Guard vessel.
2. Under the coordination of the Hellenic Coast Guard, 3 Coast Guard vessels (2 Coast Guard Patrol Boats and 1 Coast Guard Anti-Pollution Boat) and private vessels are on immediate alert in the sea area from Kaminia to Vrachneika, Patras, to provide assistance due to a fire in the Platani area of Achaia.
