Houston, TX – September 29, 2025 – SHIPPINGInsight, the leading forum for maritime technology, innovation, and energy transition, is proud to announce that Prodigy Clean Energy will be a Gold Partner at SHIPPINGInsight 2025, October 15–16 in Houston. The company’s modular nuclear generating stations offer rapidly deployed clean baseload power solutions for US ports, AI and data centers, and coastal industrial parks. Plants are purpose-designed for transport by heavy lift ship to any ocean accessible location and can be carried via river systems for deployment in the US heartland. Installation is right at the shoreline in a protected harbor.
Shipyard-Built Nuclear Power Facilities Delivered In Under 30 Months.
Prodigy is demonstrating what can be accomplished by merging best practices across offshore structural engineering, nuclear civil construction, and maritime manufacturing and transport – the result is robust nuclear power infrastructure, deployable three times faster, at 50% the cost, and that requires >90% less land when compared to site-constructed, traditional nuclear plants.
Several leading SMR and microreactor developers such as NuScale and Westinghouse have signed on to Prodigy’s Transportable Nuclear Power Plant (TNPP) program, offering customers flexible facility capacity options, from single digit megawatts to up to gigawatt scale.
Co-founded and led by President and CEO Dr. Mathias Trojer, Prodigy is on track to deliver its first commercial project in Canada in the next 5-7 years. This Fall, Prodigy announces US expansion and plans to invest in US Gulf shipbuilders for plant fabrication.
Prodigy’s collaborations underscore the seriousness and viability of their program. . Under a Government of Canada funded initiative, Prodigy and Lloyd’s Register completed critical work to define TNPP requirements for manufacturing, transport and end of service life plant removal and decommissioning. Strategic partnerships with Serco, C-Job Naval Architects, and Kinectrics are ensuring that plant designs meet the highest safety, security, and safeguards standards.
“I am pleased to join the SHIPPINGInsight 2025 speaker lineup. Prodigy has successfully established the required design boundaries to meet the rigor of nuclear licensing across the full plant lifecycle. We are now ready to build a customer order book, and invest in the supply chain partners and infrastructure needed to deliver North America’s TNPP fleet,” said Mathias Trojer, President and CEO, Prodigy Clean Energy.
Prodigy’s talk at SHIPPINGInsight 2025 will feature their shoreline-installed power plants and applications for maritime end users.
“We are excited to welcome Prodigy Clean Energy as a Gold Partner at SHIPPINGInsight 2025,” said Carleen Lyden Walker, Chief Evolution Officer of SHIPPINGInsight. “Their approach to nuclear power represents a daring step forward in maritime innovation. Prodigy is challenging the status quo by introducing transformational, market-ready solutions that can radically reduce emissions and meet the operational demands of our nation.”
Prodigy’s presence at SHIPPINGInsight 2025 highlights the conference’s mission to foster innovation and collaboration across Maritime’s value chain.
