The Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Vassilis Kikilias, has traveled to London for the 34th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). In the context of the Assembly (he will deliver a national statement), he will participate in the Meeting of Heads of Delegations, organized by the Secretary-General of the IMO, Arsenio Dominguez, as well as in the award ceremony of Greece in the context of the “International Maritime Prize- 2025 IMO Honours for Exceptional Bravery at Sea”.
On the sidelines of the IMO Assembly, Mr. Kikilias will hold bilateral meetings with the Minister of Transport of Qatar, Mr. Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Thani, the Deputy Minister of Transport of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Rumaih Al – Rumaih, the Deputy Minister of Transport of China, Mr. Li Yang, and the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Transportation Affairs Bureau of Economic, Energy and Business Affairs, Mr. Marco M. Sylvester.
He will also host a working lunch for the Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Public Works of Malta, Mr. Chris Bonett, the Deputy Minister of Shipping of Cyprus, Ms. Marina Hadjimanoli, and the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport of Italy, Mr. Edoardo Rixi.
