
WESTON, CT – (DECEMBER 1, 2025) – The North American Marine Environment Protection Association (NAMEPA)is pleased to announce the appointment of Benton Lobo, Vice President Compliance and Environmental Operations at Carnival Cruise Line, to it’s Board of Directors. With a distinguished career dedicated to advancing Maritime Compliance and Marine Environmental operational excellence, Mr. Lobo brings extensive experience and leadership that will support NAMEPA’s mission to “Save Our Seas.”

Benton serves as Vice President, Compliance and Environmental Operations at Carnival Cruise Line, where he leads key initiatives related to compliance, environmental performance, and sustainable maritime practices across the company’s global fleet. His work focuses on driving environmental integrity, enhancing operational procedures, and supporting the cruise line’s broader sustainability commitments.
