Chios Marine Clubs’ new BoD

2026 – ANNUAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY & ELECTIONS

The Ordinary General Assembly and Elections of the Chios Marine Club were held on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at the Athens Marriott Hotel, Greece. During the Assembly, the activities of the outgoing Board of Directors were approved, along with the Financial Report for the year 2025. This was followed by the elections for the appointment of the new eleven-member Board of Directors.

The President and the Board of Directors would like to express their sincere appreciation to all Members for their continued support of the Club, as well as to the Electoral Committee and all those who honored the 2026 Ordinary General Assembly with their presence.

According to the results of the elections, the new Board of Directors of the Chios Marine Club has been constituted as follows:

9. SIMOS VARIAS Board Member
10. MARIOS BOUGIOUKAS Board Member
11. IOANNIS (JOHN) FARACLAS Board Member

In the context of strengthening further our Club the following new roles were decided:

Nikos Kakalis, Scientific Affairs Officer of the Chios Marine Club, responsible for coordinating:  The connection of Chios Marine Club members with stakeholders and companies of the shipping industry around technology and regulatory matters.  The Club’s committee for organising and managing information and knowledge sharing events.

Athina Kolaki, Events, Communication and Marketing Coordinator of the Chios Marine Club, responsible for:  Planning, organizing and implementing corporate events  Enhancing the image of our Club  Managing partnerships with sponsors and company members in the context of events and marketing  Upgrading modern marketing and digital tools – upgrading the Chios Marine Club site
