We would like to invite you to a special event dedicated to the historic parish of the Church of the Dormition of the Mother of God in Balino in Istanbul, where visitors can now experience the remarkable acoustics of Hagia Sophia.

This pioneering achievement allows visitors, for the first time in centuries, to experience once again the extraordinary soundscape that once resonated within the Great Church of Hagia Sophia, reconnecting us with a profound dimension of the spiritual and cultural heritage of Constantinople.
Journalist and author Simeon Soltaridis and educator and author Maria Dimou will guide us through the remarkable journey of this endeavour — from their first encounter with the abandoned and derelict buildings of the historic parish to the ultimate accomplishment: the revival of the historic acoustics of Hagia Sophia.

The event will be held in Greek with English translations of the speakers’ presentations displayed on the projector.
