Construction and civil engineering contractor, McLaughlin & Harvey, has been appointed to the Port of Dover’s new Project Contractor Framework.

The framework appointment, which runs until May 2032, covers Lot 2 – Berths & Marine. McLaughlin & Harvey WorkSpace has also been appointed a framework partner on Lot 4 – Building Fabric & Services.

The appointments provide opportunities for both divisions to support critical infrastructure upgrades that will help deliver the Port of Dover’s 2050 Masterplan, following the recent completion of the £53m Dover Western Docks Revival project delivered by McLaughlin & Harvey in partnership with Boskalis Westminster.

The project created 10 hectares of new port land through extensive dredging and land reclamation works, alongside the delivery of new roads, utilities and supporting infrastructure.

Seamus Devlin, Managing Director at McLaughlin & Harvey, said:

“Following on from the successful completion of our Dover Western Docks Revival project for the Port of Dover, we are pleased to announce that we have secured a place on the Port’s ‘Project Contractor Framework’ within Lot 2 – Berths & Marine. We look forward to collaborating with the Port on its future marine developments.”

The framework appointment comes ahead of the British Ports Association Conference 2026, taking place at the Port of Dover from 21–22 October, where McLaughlin & Harvey will return as a Gold Sponsor.

For the first time, McLaughlin & Harvey will also bring its YouMatter Wellbeing Bus to the conference, offering delegates complimentary health checks with qualified healthcare practitioners and relaxing massages throughout the two-day event.

Between important discussions on the future of the UK’s ports and maritime infrastructure, the bus will provide an opportunity for delegates to take some time out, check in on their health, and recharge.
