For Spring/Summer 2027, Alessandro Enriquez invites us into a sun-drenched world of Greek mythology, Mediterranean romance, and expressive Italian craftsmanship. Unveiled during Milan Fashion Week, his Olimpo d’Amore collection celebrates the poetry of love, the beauty of individuality, and the irresistible allure of the Greek islands.

There is something eternally seductive about Greece. Perhaps it is the extraordinary blue of the Aegean, the dazzling white architecture of the Cyclades, or the ancient mythology that continues to inspire our collective imagination. For Alessandro Enriquez, Greece becomes the setting for a vibrant fashion narrative in which classical antiquity encounters contemporary femininity, and every color, silhouette, and printed motif carries a story.

Presented on September 23 during Milan Fashion Week, the designer’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection, titled Olimpo d’Amore (Olympus of Love), unfolds as an affectionate dialogue between Greece and Italy. Drawing inspiration from the Mediterranean waters connecting his Sicilian heritage to the Greek islands, Enriquez explores a shared cultural landscape shaped by art, literature, mythology, and centuries of beauty.

Greek Mythology Meets Contemporary Italian Fashion

In Enriquez’s interpretation of Mount Olympus, ancient deities and mythological muses find themselves immersed in a playful modern fantasy. Terpsichore, the Greek muse of dance, appears to move from the painted surface of an ancient amphora onto a skirt, while the shell associated with Venus becomes a striking graphic element.

Elsewhere, the dreamy architecture of Santorini inspires imaginative prints, and traditional summer stripes frame the Greek word for love. References to the legendary home of the gods introduce a touch of humor, transforming familiar classical imagery into an expressive visual language.

These motifs give the collection its distinctive rhythm. As the garments move, the prints come alive, allowing illustrations, typography, and color to interact with the wearer.

The silhouettes embrace a contemporary approach to dressing, balancing structure with fluidity. Capri pants and generously proportioned palazzo trousers create contrasting attitudes, while pencil skirts, circular shapes, abbreviated hemlines, and flowing lengths offer a versatile interpretation of summer elegance.

For evening, the designer introduces a more direct connection to classical Greek dress. One-shoulder gowns and elongated column dresses descending from halter necklines evoke the graceful draping of antiquity, bringing an understated sensuality to the collection.

There is a feeling of spontaneity throughout, as though each piece belongs to an endless Mediterranean summer filled with art, sunshine, and unexpected encounters.

The Colors of the Greek Islands, Reimagined

Color has always occupied a central place in Alessandro Enriquez’s aesthetic, and for Spring/Summer 2027, the Greek landscape provides an especially evocative palette.

Brilliant whites recall the sunlit walls of Cycladic houses, while delicate blues and deeper ultramarine tones capture the changing character of the Mediterranean Sea.

Particularly significant is loulaki, a traditional blue pigment associated with the architectural identity of the Greek islands. Its distinctive ultramarine hue, often seen on doors and window frames against whitewashed facades, becomes a defining chromatic signature of the season.

The palette expands into vivid coral red, luminous yellow inspired by the Mediterranean sun, and deep black reminiscent of the night sky. Together, these colors create a visual atmosphere that feels simultaneously nostalgic and exuberantly modern.

The fascination with Greek blue also extends beyond fashion through a collaboration with Italian design house Cappellini. Developed with Giulio Cappellini, the project, titled AZZURRO, brings Enriquez’s Mediterranean imagination into the world of furniture design. The collaboration centers on Cappellini’s Bac chair, reinterpreted in a special azure finish inspired by loulaki.

Presented during Milan Fashion Week, the installation creates a connection between the designer’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection and contemporary interiors, revealing how a single color can communicate an entire cultural landscape. The collaboration was celebrated on September 23 at Cappellini’s Milan showroom on Via Borgogna 8, extending the creative conversation from clothing to collectible design.

Io Sono Saffo: A Declaration of Love and Freedom

Among the collection’s most compelling elements is its tribute to Sappho, the ancient Greek lyric poet from the island of Lesbos, whose writings have remained enduring expressions of desire, intimacy, and emotional freedom.

For Enriquez, Sappho represents the courage to love authentically and to embrace individuality without fear. Her influence takes shape in IO SONO SAFFO (I Am Sappho), a special editorial project conceived and edited by the designer. The publication brings together 40 selected fragments and passages about love, introducing the poet’s literary legacy into the wider creative narrative of the collection.

The same words appear prominently on selected T-shirts, turning a simple garment into a declaration of identity and personal freedom. At the heart of this message is the belief that everyone deserves the freedom to love, express themselves, and live with dignity.

In a contemporary world where discrimination and intolerance continue to affect countless lives, Enriquez approaches fashion as a means of communicating respect, acceptance, and solidarity. The collection’s celebration of love therefore acquires an emotional resonance that extends beyond its romantic imagery.

Through Sappho’s poetry and the expressive power of clothing, the designer invites his audience to consider love in all its forms, free from judgment and restrictive definitions.

Behind the vivid illustrations and exuberant colors lies a carefully considered exploration of textile craftsmanship. For Spring/Summer 2027, Alessandro Enriquez collaborates with Monteoliveto, the historic Italian textile manufacturer founded in 1966 by Galdino Livio in Olgiate Comasco, within the celebrated Como textile district.

Marking its 60th anniversary in 2026, the family-run company has reached its third generation, continuing a manufacturing tradition that combines technical expertise, experimentation, and a commitment to textile innovation.

For the collection, Enriquez and Monteoliveto developed a selection of four customized fabrics, each contributing a different dimension to the designer’s Mediterranean vision. Three textile bases, named Camper, Holly, and Erkel, were enriched through digital printing, allowing the collection’s graphic compositions to interact with the individual characteristics of each material.

A specially developed cotton bouclé tweed adds tactile sophistication, introducing texture and depth to the colorful wardrobe.

Additional fabrics include crisp cotton poplin, silk and viscose blends, recycled duchesse, cotton drill, and twill, creating a varied interplay of surface, movement, and structure.

These material choices enhance the collection’s versatility, allowing its bold visual identity to translate across relaxed daytime separates, statement skirts, and elegant evening silhouettes.

Accessories That Speak the Language of Summer

The Mediterranean spirit continues through accessories conceived to complement the collection’s expressive wardrobe.

Jewelry combines decorative stones with gold- and silver-tone chains, adding flashes of light and texture to the looks.

Striped slingback shoes introduce a graphic accent, while flip-flops embellished with long fabric ribbons bring a carefree, romantic quality to summer dressing. Created using materials from the collection, the ribbons establish a visual connection between footwear and clothing.

The overall styling suggests an effortless approach to personal expression, where a dramatic print, an unexpected accessory, or a vivid combination of colors can transform the mood of an outfit. Enriquez’s attention to these details gives the collection a sense of cohesion while preserving its playful character.

Universe Takes Center Stage in Milan

The presentation of Olimpo d’Amore formed part of a broader creative moment for Alessandro Enriquez during Milan Fashion Week. Following the collection’s September 23 debut, the designer participated in WHITE Milano as Guest Designer during the trade show’s September 24–27, 2026 edition.

His presence at the event highlighted the multidisciplinary character of his work, bringing together fashion, interiors, illustration, and lifestyle through projects connected to his distinctive Mediterranean aesthetic. This expanded creative universe reflects Enriquez’s interest in the relationship between fashion and everyday life, where decorative objects, textiles, clothing, and cultural references contribute to a shared visual identity.

A Summer Written in the Language of Love

With Olimpo d’Amore, Alessandro Enriquez imagines a summer in which ancient poetry feels remarkably contemporary, mythological figures inhabit colorful wardrobes, and the blue of the Aegean becomes an invitation to dream. The collection carries the warmth of Sicily, the romantic imagery of the Greek islands, and the sophistication of Italian craftsmanship, brought together through the designer’s instinctive affection for storytelling.

Yet its most memorable quality may be the humanity behind its exuberance. Through the words of Sappho, the symbolism of classical mythology, and a wardrobe designed for movement and self-expression, Enriquez gives love a visible presence in contemporary fashion. And as the Mediterranean sun illuminates his imagined Olympus, one sentiment remains beautifully clear: the freedom to love and to be oneself will always be in style.
