Marine Site Investigation at Discovery Bay

For approximately 5 weeks, marine site investigation works involving drilling of boreholes will be carried out at the following works locations (WGS84 Datum):
(A) 22 deg. 17.514’N / 114 deg. 01.473’E
(B) 22 deg. 17.491’N / 114 deg. 01.518’E
(C) 22 deg. 17.507’N / 114 deg. 01.567’E
(D) 22 deg. 17.525’N / 114 deg. 01.593’EThe works will be carried out by two jack-up barges. One tug boat and one work boat will provide assistance. The number of vessels engaged in the works will change from time to time to suit operational requirements.A working area of approximately 15 metres around each jack-up barge will be established. Yellow flashing lights will be installed at the four corners of the barges to indicate the positions of the barges.The hours of work will be from 0800 hours to 1800 hours from Monday to Saturday. Vessels employed for the works will stay in the works locations outside the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
