Mr. Terence O´Brien, Ms. Ida Stier and Capt. Antonio M. Padrón
Capt. Antonio M. Padrón y Santiago, “IMO Maritime Ambassador” and Maritime Authority of Tenerife, visited the facilities of GRUPO STIER in Las Palmas, holding a meeting with its responsibles.
During the meeting, both Ms. Ida Stier, CEO of the Group, and Mr. Terence O’Brien, Director of the GRUPO STIER, expressed their support for the “Boarding Program for Maritime Students”.
Capt. Antonio M. Padrón also saluted to the employees of the Group and made a tour through the classrooms and training facilities recently approved by OPITO.
GRUPO STIER has been present in the Canary Islands since 1994 and currently has an advanced training center dedicated to the offshore/oil & gas industry.
Outside the Stier Training Centre
Among other maritime courses, GRUPO STIER teaches: Basic Safety Training, Passenger Ships, Basic Training in Maritime Protection, GMDSS Restricted Operator, Dangerous Goods, etc.
For the Offshore industry, among others, they teach the courses BOSIET, FOET, HUET & EBS, IMIST, etc.
