UPGRADING WORKS AT JETTY

Construction of jetty at Tuas View
Monday, October 14, 2019, Singapore
From 01 November 2019 to 30 April 2020, construction work for a jetty at Tuas View will be carried out.
According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.099 of 2019, the work will be conducted 24 hours daily – including weekends & Public Holidays – within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01 deg. 16·867’N / 103 deg. 38·967’E
2) 01 deg. 16·736’N / 103 deg. 39·033’E
3) 01 deg. 16·665’N / 103 deg. 38·884’E
4) 01 deg. 16·733’N / 103 deg. 38·850’E
5) 01 deg. 16·717’N / 103 deg. 38·800’E
6) 01 deg. 16·717’N / 103 deg. 38·767’E
7) 01 deg. 16·733’N / 103 deg. 38·483’E
8) 01 deg. 16·763’N / 103 deg. 38·483’E
The construction of jetty involves dredging, piling, steel and concrete structural work. A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity to warn other craft about the work.
Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.

Upgrading works at jetty

Due to upgrading works, the Vopak Jetty 1 platform and pipelines at Merak will be out of service between 28 and 30 October.
No incoming vessel activity will be scheduled during this period. Arrangements will be made upon request for alternative berthing arrangements.
