The BDI struggles…
The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) struggles to maintain a momentum as all indices are in red with the exemption of the BCI – Capes’ volatile behaviour. Geopolitics couldn’t be worse. John Faraclas’ daily brief:
The BDI gained two points although in our view same should have been down; it now stands at 1,803 points.
The Capes’ BCI was the only size to gain; with 43 points plus managed to remain above the 3,000 points…
The Panamaxes’ BPI was down 49 points at 1,647…
The Supras’ BSI was down eight at 1,179 points…
The Handies BHSI lost five and now reads 626 points.
Tough times for the dry market; be on guard…
The Wets too continued on a falling mode; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 1,144 – minus 41 and 733 – minus nine points respectively… Watch this space!
The WTI ended at US$ 55.81 which is 85 cents down since last Friday the 25th of October. It’s all fin when it falls!
The Geopolitical situation remains perplexed.

ISIS’s head is finito following an American lead operation similar to that for Al Qaeda’s master a few years ago…; let’s see what happens now… we are concerned also for the fact that a few hundred of ISIS terrorists went Scot-free from jail simultaneously with the Turkish invasion at the Syrian border – a pathetic outcome as a result of Turkish president Erdogan’s expansionist plans… CAUTION!
Turkey continued to pester and violate Greece and Cyprus airspace as well as territorial waters even today being one of Greece’s National Days, the 28th of October 1940 when Greece resisted the ultimatum by Italy’s Mussolini and defended its territory and the free world prompting Sir Winston Churchill to say that the heroes fight as the Greeks do, despite the Papoulias – Yilmaz Moratorium that on religious, national and other anniversaries there should be a halt of violations. Shame for the Turks and their armed forces. They are looking not only for trouble but to spoil Peace in the entire region, a 1,500 miles around Turkey. They are responsible too!!! NATO and the EU are also responsible for these Turkish actions; no excuses can be accepted in any way from these two bodies! Both they can stop all this mess!!! They cannot understand or it seems they are doing this on purpose, but this attitude and behaviour will backfire!
The entire faulty line from Gib to Afghanistan and from the Caucuses to the Horn of Africa is on fire…
