As part of his program of visits to the island country, the Deputy Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Stefanos Ghikas, will visit the islands of the Cyclades – Paros, Antiparos, Naxos and Syros – from tomorrow, July 17, 2025 until Saturday, July 19, 2025.
Mr. Gikas will have meetings with the Mayors and District Governors of the islands, with chamber bodies, and will visit water supply companies and desalination plants, as well as the local Port Authorities.
The Deputy Minister of Shipping and Island Policy will attend on Thursday, July 17, 2025, the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy in the celebrated Church of Agia Marina of Antiparos, officiated by His Eminence Metropolitan of Paronaxia, Mr. Kallinikou.
As part of his visit, Mr. Gikas will inaugurate on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the Syros Merchant Marine Academy, the Map Exhibition “NAVIGATION OF ISLANDS – MAPS & ENGRAVINGS 16th-19th CENTURIES”, of the Maritime Museum of Greece.
