Thank You to Our 2025 Gala Chairs
We are proud to recognize and thank our Wings to Cure Gala Chairs, Dina Bair and Mike Lowe, for their leadership and dedication. Their commitment and passion set the stage for an incredible evening of impact, inspiration, and hope. We are grateful for their partnership as we work together to reach our fundraising goal and advance lifesaving cancer research.

I am honored to Chair the Hippocratic Cancer Research Foundation Wings to a Cure Gala, alongside my friend, coworker and fellow cancer survivor,
Mike Lowe.
Over the years I have seen the incredible work Northwestern Researchers have
embarked on to help treat all kinds of cancers. They think outside the box, innovating new ways to rid the body of cancer cells and help patients not just survive but thrive after their cancer battle.
In this time when Federal Funding is in jeopardy, fundraising is more critical than ever. I am proud to join in these efforts to hand scientists the keys to a cure.
Please join me in these efforts so we can increase victories over this ravaging disease and celebrate more survivors.
Dina Bair, WGN TV Midday Anchor and Medical Reporter

It’s an honor to serve as Co-Chair of the Hippocratic Cancer Research Foundation’s “Wings to a Cure Gala” with my friend Dina Bair, a tireless advocate for all cancer survivors, and a critical voice in Chicago’s fight against this disease in all its forms.
During the last year, I was treated for Stage 3C N+ colorectal cancer by doctors at Northwestern Medicine. After months of radiation and chemotherapy, I’m happy to report that my cancer is undetectable. I owe my life to Northwestern’s outstanding team of researchers, doctors, nurses, and staff members. Their work is only possible because of the generosity of donors.
With your help, we can continue the groundbreaking work of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University.
