Monaco’s annual Christmas tree collection is once again underway, with 12 drop-off points across the Principality helping residents recycle their trees in an environmentally responsible way until January 26. More than 500 trees have already been collected, with around 1,000 expected overall, and the natural firs will be converted into energy for electricity generation and district heating. Authorities are also reminding residents that artificial trees with integrated lights must be taken to specialised waste facilities, not left at collection points.
