On Good Friday, 10/04/2026, the President of the Chios Marine Club, Capt. Antonis Pitsilos, paid a courtesy visit to Brigadier General Panagiotis Lymperéas, Commander of the 96th Higher Military Command of Territorial National Guard Battalions (96th ADTE) of Chios.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest were discussed, and a shared commitment was reaffirmed to further strengthen cooperation and communication between the two sides. The visit was part of the Chios Marine Club’s ongoing efforts to foster institutional relations and promote initiatives that contribute to the development and wellbeing of the local community.
On Holy and Great Saturday, 11/04/2026, representatives of the Chios Marine Club attended the Easter Resurrection Service at the chapel of Zoodochos Pigi on the islet of Panagia, Oinousses, following an invitation from Brigadier General Panagiotis Lymperéas.
The Chios Marine Club covered the transportation costs of the invited guests who travelled from Lagkada to Oinousses island for this occasion. This commendable initiative by Brigadier General Panagiotis Lymperéas, which we warmly congratulate and acknowledge, honours us greatly and fills us with deep feelings of emotion and pride. We also greatly thank the Mayor of Oinousses, Georgios Daniil, for his impeccable hospitality.
The Club was represented by its President, Capt. Antonis Pitsilos, the General Secretary, Capt. Kostas Geomelos, and the former President of the Club, Mr. Antonis Faraklas.
