Once again at the Trailfinders Sports Club in London’s West Ealing, another great gathering of the HESGB members and friends took place under unique weather conditions, given the recent heatwave in UK and North/West/Central Europe – even a few drops of rain just for a minute where more than welcomed!
Nearly 100 made it with the ususal suspects present and some last minute bookings. Good to see the new Greek Consul Maria Kriari with her husband Panagiotis Kourtinos honouring the event, as well as a few ladies from the Greek Embassy and Consulate, including the ever present Mrs. Areti Botonaki.
Trailfinders as usual offered an excellent service with their food quality and friendliness of their employees, headed as ever by their Events Manager Ms Rachelle Simpson (pictured above).
Musical entertainment was provided by Alexandros Nikomanis and Gkirkis Valadis – see picture above.
Intersestingly, the President Dimitris Monioudis was present given his extensive travelling, also Alex Xenakis despite being jet-lagged from his trip in Japan he made it…. He was there to encourage the Japanese soccer faithful in their FIFA World Cup adventure.
We now look forward to the mid week drinks and dips in the Square Miles Father Thames pubs and the Xmas do in Early December; watch this space!
